Ciaran – get serious! In this throwaway society I used a working assumption that a T-shirt lasts one wash, and an average person loses one cap per week.

I can’t help but point out that based on your method of calculation there is an additional cost you’ve neglected to incorporate – storage space for the 144 baseball caps and T-shirts you’ve purchased.

Hi Pete – long time no speak! I’ve missed the old shoeshop joke too….

Yankees beat the Rays 4-2. The day before in a double header they had beaten them 4-1 and 11-1 but I think we got the better game. Certainly an exciting climax.

As to fleecing, fans of US owned premiership sides can look forwards to big price increases I reckon.

I was at Yankee stadium in ’06 and fleeced in the same manner. The following evening I went to the US Open tennis to see Agassi play a night game on Arthur Ashe court……Yankee Stadium is small beers in comparison!!.
Hope you had a good trip. Did the Yankees win ?
