The right of feedback to a weblog is generally provided by a comments section like this one. I welcome wine suppliers that I write about, like Virgin, to leave comments if they disagree with my views. I received an email from Virgin, politely requesting that I include feedback they had received on the Monastrell. On this occasion, I will comment on their behalf and include the feedback they offered from their members:

"Loved by both me and my daughter, will buy again" - 5 stars
"Very nice" - 4 stars
"very good alternative to rioja and great value.Far more fruit than rioja more akin to a new world style. First bottleshad bottle shock, later ones opened improved immeasurably" - 4 stars
"One of my favourite wines" - 5 stars
"Very unusual, very nice" - 4 stars
"Pretty good" - 4 stars
"enjoyed this wine!" - 4 stars
"Drinkable but not a favourite" - 3 stars
"Really liked this one" - 5 stars

Whilst I am happy to offer this feedback, my view of the Albacea remains grim and my right to write whatever I like on my blog remains intact.

Alistair,

Well done on devising another clever way to classify wine. The Monastrell sounds horrid.
