It's a little bit strange if you're not expecting it because they set up some very convincing dummies around the village. We were nearly fooled by the fake cricket team! If it's wine you're after, sample the Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton - just 20 minutes on from Kettlewell if you know the roads (not available on the usual road maps). They have an excellent wine list and a good selection of whiskies. Have you seen the Scarecrow festival at Kettlewell?
